Robyn Sherwell - Low

Robyn Sherwell’s cover version of Ben Howard’s The Fear pulled in a fair amount of plays on Soundcloud since we first featured her back in April, with very little blog hype. Sadly the song has now been taken down, but the good news is that she’s back with her own slice of immaculate and smouldering sounding pop. This is pretty much as seductive as they come. Frankly Robyn could be singing about cutting the grass, eating chips or the state of politics in Ethopia and we’d still be melting. If you like the idea of Banks, but find her songs a little bit too of the moment and want something that feels more organic and a little less forced, then Low could just be your new favourite thing. This is velvety smooth.

Robyn’s a great name as well isn’t it? On a boy or a girl. However it's spelt.
