Since we first featured Jamie N Commons back in March things have been quietly bubbling along, but with a proper release now due there seems to have been an explosion in coverage with the likes of Abeano, The Guardian and The 405 all recently shouting his praises. And if everyone has started raising their arms in the air and shouting hallelujah, then it’s entirely justified when the superb song that first burnt our ears with its rasping blues vocal and deep-south musicianship now has a video to enjoy. “One hand on the trigger, one hand on the cross, Jesus and his family are the two things he’s lost,” his gravel cut vocal growls in this tale of religion and execution. This is The Preacher.
