London Grammar - Strong

Hannah, Dan and Dot, better known as London Grammar are doing pretty well aren’t they? Just over six months ago hardly anybody knew their name, although they’d been working in the background developing their sound for some time. Then came the graceful melancholy of Hey Now and ever since then their trajectory has been 100% upwards.

Now the online buzz they’ve created seems to be translating into something real and tangible. Wasting My Young Years hit the UK Top 40 singles chart two weeks ago and their performance in the Pussy Parlure Nouveau stage last weekend at Glastonbury became a case of one in one out such was the eagerness to see them.

Now with a full UK tour booked for autumn (get your tickets quick before they sell out) London Grammar has uploaded their next single to the internet and it continues a run of hugely impressive tunes. Strong is an alluring beaut, full of late night cinematic elegance, Hannah’s voice welling up from somewhere deep inside and filling every space. It really is…er….strong.

This weekend London Grammar will be just down the road from Breaking More Waves home city as they play Blissfields festival. We will of course be in attendance for our second musical massage from the band in a week. Wonderful stuff.
